1/2 Gravellina - West opens up the lesser-known Valtellina. And that’s what makes it interesting! First a familiar stretch through vineyards, then on through what for most is uncharted territory.
The route is evenly distributed between villages set at about 500 metres and the open country of the valley floor. The elevation gain is all in the first 30 km: up and down through woods, vineyards and olive groves, with a few Alpine slopes. Ardenno marks the westernmost point of this tour that starts and finishes in Sondrio.
1/2 Gravellina - West is an eye-opener even for locals.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
Under Ministerial Decree of 24 April 2013, a medical certificate is mandatory for participants in the 1/2 Gravellina – West tour.
- Italian residents must obtain a fitness certificate for non-competitive cycling or a fitness certificate for practising high/special cardio stress sports activities, valid on the date of the event.

BIKE
The gravel bike is the obvious choice for Gravellina, but the door is always open to cyclo-cross or MTB riders. The routes include dirt, paved and surfaced terrain.
