1/2 Gravellina - West is the lesser-known Valtellina. And that’s the beauty of it! The first section in the vineyards is familiar, then it is kilometres of land that - for most - is new.
The kilometres are divided - almost 50/50 - between the altitude of the villages at about 500 metres a.s.l. and the valley floor, still countryside. The difference in altitude, instead, is all in the first 30 kilometres: an up-and-down through woods, vineyards and olive groves, with some Alpine uphills. The western limit point - to return to Sondrio, the starting and finishing point of the tour - is Ardenno.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
As per Ministerial Decree 24/04/2013, the medical certificate is mandatory to participate in the tour 1/2 Gravellina - West.
- Italian residents must be in possession of a medical certificate for non-competitive cycling or sport activity of particular and high cardiovascular commitment valid on the date of the event

BIKES
Gravellina's bike is the gravel, but cyclocrosser and mountain-biker are welcomed too. The routes are on various surfaces: dirt, paved, asphalt.
