General information about Gravellina – Strade Rurali

Gravellina – Strade Rurali is a non-competitive cycling event that aims to promote and make known the territory, the routes, the culture and the food and wine of Valtellina.

Gravellina – Strade Rurali is scheduled to take place in Sondrio on September 21 and 22, 2024.

Art. 2 – General event overview

Gravellina – Strade Rurali is a non-competitive cyclo-tourist event in which the routes are neither marked nor controlled and where participants must proceed in total self-sufficiency, following the pace that suits them best.

Each participant takes part in Gravellina – Strade Rurali in the knowledge that the tours include dirt roads and mountain routes that may have rough and irregular surfaces.

Each participant takes part in Gravellina – Strade Rurali in a reasoned and conscious manner, at his or her own risk and in a free, spontaneous and independent personal excursion without any extra rights in relation to other trail and road users.

Gravellina – Strade Rurali presents tours within its offer that require high psychophysical effort and riding skills.

When choosing which tour to register for, each participant must consciously assess his or her physical fitness and ability to ride a bike, his or her ability to adapt to route and weather conditions, and his or her ability to read navigation instruments. By registering for a tour or initiative, each participant makes a reasoned and conscious choice that absolves the organisation of any liability.

Art. 3 – Admitted bicycles

The Gravellina – Strade Rurali tracks are designed to be cycled with gravel bikes. However, it is possible to participate with other types of bicycles which allow cycling on dirt roads, paved roads and rough sections.
